Beef Stroganoff


  • 1kg beef steak, fat trimmed, cut into strips
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • Pepper to taste



  1. Melt butter in pan and fry onion, add meat and cook until almost done.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and continue frying until meat is tender.
  3. Pour sour cream, season to taste and heat through gently.
