Snacking in front of the television is one of the more challenging eating habits to break. But with these simple strategies you can change your routine and form better habits.

4 Simply strategies

  • Busy Hands – take up a hobby like knitting or needlework that keeps your hands occupied. Or try drawing or doodling.
  • Chew gum – keep your mouth busy and minty fresh and keep the snacks out!
  • Lie down – grab a pillow or bean bag and recline on the floor, this makes it more difficult to snack.
  • Work out – do sit ups, push ups, jump rope or jump on the spot. Not only will you burn calories but you won’t have time to snack.
